Bomun Lake Resort

Bomun Lake Resort is a leisure complex on the shore of a lake in Gyeongju with several hotels, restaurants, and shopping options. The site also features a golf course, drive-in theater, ferry port, and various cultural venues including a K-Pop Museum.

The government planned this area as a new tourism destination in 1971 and opened it to the public in 1979. Since then it has become a place where entertainment, relaxation, and cultural activities come together.

The K-Pop Museum displays modern Korean pop culture through costumes, instruments, and personal items from artists. Yukbu Village nearby recreates traditional Korean homes and crafts, showing how people lived in earlier times.

Access and getting around are straightforward since the grounds are well marked and reachable from multiple entrances. It is best to arrive early in the day when public areas are less crowded.

Traditional Korean music performances take place outdoors during warmer months at no charge to visitors. These shows feature old musical and dance forms that are rarely seen elsewhere.
