Nam Et-Phou Louey

Nam Et-Phou Louey extends across 4,107 square kilometers of mountainous terrain, with elevations ranging from 400 to 2,257 meters above sea level.

The area received national park status in 2019, evolving from its previous designation as a national protected area with distinct core and buffer zones.

Ten ethnic groups, including Tai Dam, Khmu, and Hmong communities, maintain their traditional ways of life within the designated buffer zones of the park.

The park headquarters in Viengthong town provides visitor information, basic accommodation options, and arrangements for guided tours through the protected zones.

The Nam Nern Night Safari offers boat tours where visitors sleep in spherical baskets suspended from trees while observing nocturnal wildlife.
