Vytautas Magnus University Botanical Garden

Vytautas Magnus University Botanical Garden is a large facility that displays tens of thousands of plant species organized across different sections, including medicinal plants, trees, and systematically arranged collections. The site was established in 1923 on a former manor estate and developed by Professor Constantin Regel from Tartu, who worked with institutions from Berlin and St. Petersburg. A major greenhouse was completed in 1938, marking an expansion of the garden's infrastructure and growing capabilities.

The garden has served as a teaching space for the university since its creation, connecting students and researchers with living plant collections. Visitors can observe how the space functions as both a study resource and a place where botanical knowledge is actively preserved and shared.
