Palanga City Municipality is an administrative division on Lithuania's Baltic coast. It encompasses the town of Palanga and several surrounding villages and settlements.
Palanga grew as a seaside resort starting in the 19th century. The municipality was reorganized as an independent administrative entity in modern times.
The area is easily accessible by car and has good road connections to the rest of Lithuania. Visitors should note that this is an administrative region and not a single tourist attraction in itself.
