The Church of the Annunciation combines architectural elements from Gothic and Renaissance periods, featuring seven altars and detailed stone carvings throughout the structure.
Built between 1605 and 1617 under the patronage of Jan Karol Chodkiewicz, this church stands as the first monastery established in the Samogitia region.
The church houses a collection of religious artifacts from the 17th and 18th centuries, including one of Lithuania's oldest organs dating from 1774.
The church maintains regular religious services and welcomes visitors to explore its architectural heritage, with guided tours available through the monastery complex.
The central altar contains the burial chamber of the Chodkiewicz family and numerous Franciscan monks who served at the monastery through centuries.
