Palanga, Resort town on the Baltic Sea coast in western Lithuania
The wide sandy beach at Palanga extends for 18 kilometers along the Baltic Sea, reaching up to 300 meters in width at certain points.
The Tyszkiewicz family purchased Palanga in 1824 and initiated its transformation from a small fishing village into a prominent Baltic resort destination.
The Amber Museum, located inside Tyszkiewicz Palace, displays numerous specimens of Baltic amber and contains exhibitions about its formation and processing methods.

The Botanical Park spans 72 hectares and features plant collections designed by French landscape architect Édouard André in the late 19th century.
