Baisogala Manor

Baisogala Manor is a Romantic-style building in Radviliškis District with a white facade, large windows, and symmetrical design. The property sits within a roughly 12-hectare park filled with mature trees that give the grounds a natural, aged character.

Colonel Juozapas Komaras purchased the manor in 1830, and his family retained ownership until 1940 when Soviet authorities deported them. This break in family control marked a turning point in the property's history.

The mansion displays features of Romanticism that were typical for Lithuanian noble estates of the 1800s. This architectural approach reflects the taste of that period for refined, balanced forms.

The manor currently houses the Lithuanian Animal Husbandry Institute, which operates as an active research center. Visitors should be aware that access may be limited since it functions as a working institute.

Before World War II, the property served as a training center for Agricultural Academy students. This role contributed to the development of Lithuanian agricultural knowledge.
