Degsnė larch, Protected tree in Degsnė Forest, Lithuania

The Degsnė larch stands at a height exceeding 24 meters, displaying horizontal branches with clusters of soft green needles that turn golden in autumn.

This larch, planted in the late 19th century, represents one of the earliest documented specimens of the Larix genus in the Lithuanian territory.

The Degsnė larch serves as a natural monument in Lithuanian forestry, demonstrating the successful integration of non-native species into local ecosystems.
