Ss. Boris and Gleb Cathedral, Daugavpils

The cathedral exhibits Russian Revival design with ten towers topped by gilded cupolas and spans 40 meters in length and 20 meters in width.

Constructed in 1904 with military funds, this brick cathedral replaced an earlier Iron Church that served the local garrison needs since 1866.

The interior features an oak iconostasis with intricate icons resembling those found in St. Volodymyr's Cathedral in Kyiv, Ukraine.

Located on Church Hill in the Jaunbūve district, the cathedral stands near other religious buildings and maintains regular Eastern Orthodox services.

The cathedral holds the distinction of being Latvia's largest Orthodox church, with a capacity to accommodate 5,000 worshippers at once.
