Riga Aviation Museum, Aviation museum at Skultes iela 35, Skulte, Latvia
The Riga Aviation Museum displays forty military helicopters and planes across its outdoor exhibition space near Riga International Airport.
Engineer Victor Talpa established the museum in 1956 while working for the Latvian Civil Aviation Administration and obtained its first aircraft, a MiG-21US.
The Young Pilots' Club at the museum provided local students with opportunities to study aviation theory and mechanics during the Soviet period.
Visitors can reach the museum by taking local bus number 43 to Skultes iela, with admission prices of 10 euros for adults and 5 euros for children.
The museum's collection includes Soviet-era aircraft such as the Mil Mi-6 Hook helicopter and the Tupolev Tu-22M1 strategic bomber.
