Gallery Park Hotel, Riga, hotel in Riga, Latvia
The Gallery Park Hotel is a luxury accommodation in a building over 100 years old in central Riga. Originally built for a merchant, it contains 24 rooms, some retaining original decor with antiques while others are modern suites on the newer fourth floor with large windows and skylights bringing in natural light.
Built in the late 1800s as a residence and business house for a merchant, the building later housed a shipping company before Soviet occupation. After Latvia regained independence, it was restored and converted into a hotel, now protected as a UNESCO World Heritage site and Latvian State Monument.
The hotel sits in Riga's famous Art Nouveau district, an area known for detailed and colorful building facades. Being positioned between this historic architectural style and Old Town, guests can experience daily the city's distinctive design and lively streets filled with cafes and shops.
The hotel is within walking distance of Old Town, the Art Museum, and Central Market, making it ideal for exploring Riga's attractions on foot. For guests arriving by car, secure underground parking is available, and private chauffeur services in Mercedes vehicles are offered.
The hotel features a distinctive swimming pool housed in a glass cave, creating the feeling of swimming in a magical space. This underground pool with natural stone walls and mosaic tiles offers a singular relaxation experience rarely found in other accommodations.
