Rietumu Capital Centre, Corporate office building in central Riga, Latvia.
Rietumu Capital Centre is a modern office complex in central Riga made up of three interconnected towers, with the tallest standing at twenty floors. The building spans approximately 11,000 square meters of office and commercial space designed to contemporary standards.
The building was completed in 2007 as one of the first high-efficiency office complexes to arrive on the Latvian market. Its completion represented a shift toward energy-conscious design in Riga's expanding business district during that period.
The architects' bureau Zenico projekts received the 2010 Annual Prize in Riga Architecture for designing this modern financial center.
The complex includes a multi-level underground parking facility for visitors and workers. The building is equipped with advanced cooling systems that use natural air circulation to reduce energy consumption.
The rooftop includes a helicopter landing facility, a feature that makes it stand out among typical office buildings. The top also features a planted terrace with green areas that add an uncommon recreational element to this corporate space.
