Botanical Garden of the University of Latvia

The Botanical Garden of the University of Latvia extends across 15 hectares, featuring multiple specialized areas including the Plants House, Azalea House, and Tropical House.

The garden was established in 1922 in Dreiliņi and relocated to its current location at the former Wolfschmidtshof Manor grounds in 1926.

The garden functions as an educational center offering guided tours, workshops, and programs focused on botanical education and environmental awareness throughout the year.

Visitors can reach the garden from central Riga using various public transportation options, including buses, trams, and trolleybuses, with a journey time of 10 minutes.

The garden maintains a collection of 8,300 taxa, including 2,000 tropical plants and houses a Tropical Butterfly House with specimens from South America, Asia, and Africa.
