The excavated ruins of Sabratha include a theater, temples, public baths, and basilicas spread across the Mediterranean coastal area of Libya.

Originally established as a Phoenician trading post in the 6th century BC, Sabratha developed into a major Roman city during the 2nd and 3rd centuries AD.

The archaeological site contains numerous mosaics depicting mythological scenes and daily life activities from the Roman period in North Africa.

The archaeological site is located at coordinates 32.80528 latitude and 12.485 longitude, with guided tours available for exploring the ancient structures.

The Roman theater at Sabratha, which could accommodate 5,000 spectators, features intricate stone carvings and a three-story backdrop facing the Mediterranean Sea.
