Hassan Tower, Minaret in Rabat, Morocco.

The Hassan Tower rises 44 meters high with distinctive stone decorations on each of its four facades near the Atlantic coast.

Sultan Yacoub el Mansour started building this minaret in 1196, planning a mosque structure with 348 columns before construction halted after his death.

The site connects to the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, forming a central religious and historical complex within Morocco's modern capital.

Visitors reach the monument by taking a 6-dirham tram ride from central Rabat, with service running throughout the day from morning until evening.

The incomplete structure demonstrates architectural elements shared with the Koutoubia minaret in Marrakech and the Giralda in Seville, Spain.
