The Moulay Slimane Mosque extends over 1000 square meters with a 32-meter minaret near the intersection of Souika Street and Sidi Fateh Street.
Sultan Moulay Slimane commissioned the construction of this religious building in 1812, making it the second largest mosque in the Medina of Rabat.
The mosque incorporates traditional Moroccan architectural elements including a courtyard, interior hypostyle prayer hall, and separate entrances for men and women.
The mosque maintains designated areas for ritual ablutions, following Islamic requirements for cleanliness before prayer sessions throughout the day.
Located north of the Andalusian wall along Avenue Hassan II, this mosque combines its religious function with its status as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
