Casablanca Cathedral

The Sacred Heart Cathedral displays white concrete walls, twin towers reaching 33 meters, and large colored stained glass windows across its structure.

French architect Paul Tournon designed this religious building in 1930 during the French colonial period to serve 40,000 Catholic worshippers in Casablanca.

The cathedral incorporates elements from European Gothic churches and Moroccan architecture, particularly in its towers that resemble traditional mosque minarets.

Visitors can climb one of the cathedral towers for city views, although the building now functions as a cultural center rather than a religious space.

The cathedral stands at the entrance of the Arab League Park, marking the sole religious structure in this district during the early colonial development.
