Cinema Rialto

Cinema Rialto is an Art Deco building in central Casablanca featuring two distinct audience levels. The mezzanine holds around 400 seats while the ground floor contains approximately 900 additional seats in its main theater space.

French architect Pierre Jabin designed this entertainment venue in 1929. The building later became a performance space for renowned artists including Édith Piaf and Josephine Baker.

The cinema shows international films and hosts concerts featuring classical orchestras and contemporary music acts. It functions as a gathering place for people seeking diverse live entertainment beyond traditional movie screenings.

The venue is located on Mohammed El Qori Street and maintains regular screening schedules throughout the week. Visitors can contact the cinema by phone beforehand to confirm current programming and showtimes.

The Bouchentouf family has operated this cinema since the 1950s while preserving its original architectural character. Despite several renovations over the decades, the building retained its distinctive Art Deco appearance.
