Mingun Pahtodawgyi, Buddhist temple in Myanmar
The Mingun Pahtodawgyi is an incomplete monument stupa in the Sagaing Region.
Construction of the Mingun Pahtodawgyi began in 1791 by King Bodawpaya but remained unfinished.
It was conceived as the world's largest pagoda, intended to serve as a religious focal point.
Visitors often walk up the stairs for a panoramic view of the surrounding area.
An earthquake in 1839 caused severe damage, creating massive cracks visible today.
