Veluwezoom National Park, Protected national park in Gelderland, Netherlands
The park extends across 50 square kilometers of land, featuring forests, heathlands, and sand drifts with elevations reaching 110 meters above sea level.
Established in 1930, Veluwezoom became the first national park in the Netherlands, marking the beginning of organized nature conservation in the country.
The park contains multiple historical estates, country houses, and traditional farms that reflect the architectural development of the Gelderland region.
Two wildlife observation posts in the park allow visitors to watch red deer, wild boar, badgers, and pine martens without disturbing their natural behavior.
The Posbank hill provides views extending up to 20 kilometers across the landscape, with purple heathlands creating a color display in August.
