TenneT Toren, Communication tower in Arnhem, Netherlands
TenneT Toren is a communication tower in Arnhem standing 149 meters tall. The reinforced concrete structure on the western edge of the city now transmits digital radio and television signals along with mobile phone coverage for the surrounding region.
Built in 1969 by the SEP utility company, the tower initially relayed signals between electrical substations across the Dutch power grid. Following demolition of the Gelderland Power Plant chimney in 2022, it became the tallest structure in the province.

The tower is visible from various points throughout western Arnhem and serves as a helpful landmark for orientation in the city. Public access to the interior is not available, but the structure can be viewed and photographed from surrounding streets.
Three mobile phone providers - KPN, Vodafone, and T-Mobile - share the tower to distribute cellular signals throughout the region. This shared infrastructure arrangement demonstrates how telecommunications companies cooperate to serve the area efficiently.
