Teteringse Heide

Teteringse Heide is a nature area near Breda consisting of about 95 hectares of mixed terrain. The landscape combines open heathland, shifting sand dunes, and pine forests that blend together across the property.

The southern section functioned as a training camp for cadets from the Royal Military Academy for many decades. This military use influenced how part of the landscape developed and was managed over time.

The area encompasses Huize Maria Rabboni, established in 1953, which operates as a reception center for minors under judicial supervision.

Several walking trails run through the area connecting different landscape sections. Visitors should expect varied terrain including sand and open fields with comfortable footwear.

The Galgeveld section displays a striking mix of pine forest and agricultural land patches. This combination creates an unusual coexistence of wild nature and farming within the same area.
