Het Nieuwe Huis

The building, completed in 1928, initially contained 188 apartments designed specifically for unmarried women, along with integrated community spaces and a post office.

The structure represents the Amsterdam School architectural movement through its geometric forms, detailed brickwork, and integration of functional spaces for communal living.

Located at Roelof Hartplein 50, the building maintains its original purpose with apartments, while the ground floor houses dining facilities and commercial spaces.

A square clock tower with four faces rises from the northern wing, clad in natural stone and featuring narrow windows.
