Logement van Rotterdam, Government lodging at Plein 4, The Hague, Netherlands.
The Logement van Rotterdam features a five-window facade with an elevated ground floor and windows in the basement level at Plein 4.
Between 1739 and 1746, architect Adriaan de Moens constructed this building to accommodate representatives from Rotterdam visiting The Hague for governmental affairs.
The building exhibits Dutch administrative architecture with its Rotterdam coat of arms displayed prominently on the roof gable of the structure.
Since 1820, the building has served as the headquarters for the Department of War, which later transformed into the Ministry of Defense.
The original property contained gold leather wallpaper and included a deep garden extending to Kalvermarkt, complete with a coach house and stable.
