The Jerusalem complex contains educational facilities and religious structures situated along Heuvelstraat in the central district of Venray, Netherlands.
The monastery, established in 1467, housed Canonesses of Saint Augustine who focused on copying books, weaving textiles, and educating local girls.
The institution maintained the exclusive right to provide education alongside the Latin school, making it central to female education in Venray.
Following its closure in 1974, the renovated monastery building transformed into the municipal town hall, serving administrative functions for Venray.
In 1915, the institution established the first Roman Catholic girls' gymnasium in the Netherlands, marking a milestone in Dutch education.
