Bonrepas

Bonrepas is a small rural settlement in Krimpenerwaard that stretches in a thin line along waterways, with traditional Dutch farms and houses dotting the landscape. The buildings are scattered between drainage channels and the protective dikes that shape this low-lying region.

The settlement developed in a polder landscape shaped by centuries of water management and dike building. It gained a notable mention in 1787 when Princess Wilhelmina of Prussia was detained here while traveling through the region on the road between nearby towns.

The hamlet preserves traditional agricultural practices of the South Holland region, with local farmers maintaining centuries-old methods of land management and cultivation.
