Kasteel Sterkenburg, Medieval castle in Driebergen-Rijsenburg, Netherlands.
The red-brick structure features a rectangular floor plan with a round tower from the 13th century and a square tower added in 1867.
Built around 1196 by the Van Wulven family, the castle received major renovations in 1848 under K.J.F.C. Kneppelhout, resulting in its Neo-Gothic appearance.
The estate includes a productive orchard where apples and plums are transformed into juice and jams following local production methods.
The castle operates as a bed and breakfast with six themed rooms named after birds, offering fresh bread, orange juice, and eggs from estate chickens.
Located on an island encircled by canals, the estate houses numerous monumental trees including oaks, plane trees, lime trees, and cypress trees.
