Haagsche Zwaan, Office skyscraper in Bezuidenhout, Netherlands.
Haagsche Zwaan is a 20-story office building standing about 73 meters tall, built with steel and glass construction in Bezuidenhout. The structure extends about 12 meters over the Utrechtsebaan highway beneath it.
The building was constructed after previous structures were demolished, beginning in 2007 and opening on October 26, 2010. This development was part of the area's urban transformation.
An art installation called Prima Ballerina decorates the facade, reflecting how the building contributes visually to The Hague's business district. The artwork adds a human touch to the corporate environment.
Access to the building is available from street level, though it functions as an active office location with security procedures. The towering structure makes it easily visible from surrounding areas and public viewpoints.
The building gets its name from its shape, resembling a swan with a forward-leaning main section. A specialized 24-meter bridge was engineered underneath to support this daring architectural design.
