Wrakkenmuseum

The Wrakkenmuseum displays shipwreck artifacts inside a traditional farmhouse built from driftwood and reclaimed ship masts on Terschelling. The building itself shows how island residents used materials from the sea to construct their homes.

The museum was founded to collect and preserve items from wrecks that have washed ashore on the island for centuries. A notable collection comes from the British ship Lutine, which sank near the island during a storm in 1799.
