Belgenmonument

The Belgenmonument on Amersfoortse Berg is a memorial featuring three tall pillars, sculptural reliefs, and decorated wall panels. The structure rises more than 40 meters high, making it a prominent landmark in the city.

The monument was built between 1916 and 1919 by Belgian soldiers and refugees who found shelter in the Netherlands during World War I. It was created as thanks for the assistance and refuge the country provided to them.
