Sint Martinuskerk, Eindhoven, Neo-Gothic church in Tongelre district, Eindhoven, Netherlands

Sint Martinuskerk is a three-nave brick basilica with a cruciform layout and an octagonal tower rising at the center. The structure combines brick walls with natural stone details, creating a symmetrical religious building from the late 1800s.

Construction started in 1888 under architect Emmanuel Corbey, replacing a medieval church that had occupied the site since 1400. The new building became the religious center for the growing Tongelre neighborhood during the late 1800s.

Inside, the church displays religious art and furnishings from different periods that remain actively part of worship today. The wooden confessionals and statues reflect how faith was practiced and expressed over many centuries in this community.

The church is located at 't Hofke 1 and functions as an active parish church with regular services throughout the week. As a protected monument, it welcomes visitors who wish to explore inside while respecting its ongoing religious use.

One of the bells currently hanging in the tower was cast in 1467 and originally belonged to the earlier medieval church. This ancient bell has witnessed more than five centuries of worship and community life at this location.
