The store's popularity generated a Dutch folk saying about finding everything from pins to anchors at Winkel van Sinkel.
The establishment now functions as a dining venue with multiple spaces, including a wine bar, café, and event locations.
The delivery of the building's iron statues caused a city crane to collapse, resulting in a commemorative verse by local residents.
