Monument Indië-Nederland, Memorial sculpture at Apollolaan, Amsterdam, Netherlands.

The memorial features a central female figure in traditional sarong holding a scroll, flanked by two lions representing Batavia and Amsterdam.

Queen Wilhelmina inaugurated the monument on June 15, 1935, amid protests from various political groups including communists and social democrats.

The monument underwent a significant transformation in 2004, shifting from a colonial tribute to a symbol of Netherlands-Indonesia relations.

Located in Amsterdam-Zuid near Olympiaplein, the memorial stands 18.7 meters tall and includes a surrounding pond with decorative walls.

The structure displays six crucial dates marking milestones between Netherlands and Indonesia, from 1596 through 2007.
