The Sint-Petruskerk features a 70-meter square tower with granite pillars, stained glass windows, and red brick walls from Ouderzorg brickyard.
After a fire destroyed the original church in 1933, architect Alexander Kropholler designed this new structure, completed and consecrated on March 10, 1936.
The church maintains religious artifacts from its predecessor, including chalices and monstrances, while displaying commemorative plaques honoring community members.
Located at Lammenschansweg in Leiden, the church holds services on Saturdays at 17:00 and maintains a seating capacity of 1,400 people.
The church tower's original wrought iron cross was replaced with a stainless steel version in 1998, becoming one of Leiden's tallest structures.
