Nighttown, Music venue and cinema in Rotterdam, Netherlands

Nighttown was a dual-purpose entertainment complex in Rotterdam that combined a dedicated performance space for live music with a separate movie theater. The building housed both functions under one roof, serving as a hub for different forms of public entertainment.

Architect Jac van Gelderen designed the building in 1930, and it operated continuously until its closure in 2006. This long span of operation made it a significant landmark in Rotterdam's entertainment industry.

The venue was known for hosting international artists like Nirvana, Ice Cube, and Amy Winehouse over its decades of operation. These performances shaped Rotterdam's nightlife and entertainment culture.

The location on West Kruiskade provided easy access to public transportation and connected visitors to Rotterdam's central entertainment district. Guests could explore the surrounding area easily and find numerous other facilities nearby.

The venue hosted performances by Amy Winehouse, one of the most influential artists of the 21st century, before the hall closed in 2006. These moments made it part of music history that many visitors experienced firsthand.
