The Gotisch huis stands on Brugstraat 24, featuring Gothic architectural elements and functioning as part of the Northern Maritime Museum in Groningen.
Dating from the 14th century, this structure represents one of the oldest residential buildings in Groningen, following the 13th-century Calmershuis.
The building contains a sandstone fireplace from 1540 depicting biblical scenes of paradise, incorporating Renaissance design elements and family coats of arms.
Visitors can explore the Northern Maritime Museum within the Gotisch huis, which connects to the adjacent Canterhuis building through shared exhibition spaces.
The structure transformed from a residential building into Pakhuis New York warehouse before becoming a museum space in the 1970s.
