Het Enzerinck

Het Enzerinck is an estate with a country house in Vorden, built as a two-story brick structure with balanced facades and a gently sloped tiled roof. The property spreads across parkland with paths, ponds, and stands of older trees including tulip trees and magnolias.

The property was converted in 1836 when politician Constantijn van Panhuys and his wife Charlotte Staring transformed a former farmstead into a noble residence. This change reflected the shift from farming to a more refined home for an influential family.

The grounds show how Dutch estate owners of the 1800s arranged their land, with formal gardens and water features that created a sense of order and sophistication. Walking through the park, visitors can see how these design choices still shape the experience of the place today.

The grounds are walkable with marked paths through the parkland where visitors can observe the trees and birds in their natural setting. Comfortable shoes are recommended since path conditions vary depending on the weather and season.

An original access lane from 1835 still marks the entrance route to the property and shows how visitors originally arrived at the estate. This historical path creates a direct connection between the main building and the surrounding landscape.
