The Van Schaeck Mathonsingel 10 stands as a freestanding white villa within the 19th-century urban extension area of Nijmegen, connecting the train station to Keizer Karelplein.
The building belonged to the Catholic University of Nijmegen in the 1920s and transformed into a student center in the 1950s under the management of the Diogenes association.
During its time as Diogenes headquarters, the villa functioned as a concert venue where The Police, The Cure, and Herman Brood performed live shows.
The villa currently houses multiple student organizations, including tennis club Slow, sailing club De Loefbijter, and student association Navigators, managed by a dedicated board.
The property serves as a central hub for student life in Nijmegen, located within a district undergoing transformation to create 350 to 450 new residential units.
