The red brick building features a T-shaped floor plan with two main floors, basement, mansard roof, and symmetrical architecture divided into three distinct volumes.
Constructed in 1911 by architects Burgers and Charels, the building served as a vocational training institution for more than seventy years until 1983.
The neo-Renaissance structure displays educational-themed plaques on its facade, featuring tool illustrations and inscriptions promoting knowledge and craftsmanship values in Dutch language.
Located at Sint Maartenslaan 26, the former school building underwent renovation from 2022 to 2024 to become part of DSM-Firmenich's headquarters.
The entrance showcases natural stone architraves with pilasters and round arches, complemented by double balcony doors and a central plaque reading 'Technische School'.
