Cedar, Neo-futuristic office building in Bijlmermeer, Netherlands
Cedar contains two five-story volumes connected by a glass footbridge, featuring curved facades and floor-to-ceiling windows across its 39,000 square meters surface.
The building opened in January 2020 as ING Bank's new headquarters, replacing a previous structure that was demolished in July 2017.
The office design marks a departure from traditional banking architecture by emphasizing transparency and connectivity through open spaces and collaborative areas.
Cedar accommodates 2,800 employees and includes a food court, coffee bar, event halls, and meeting spaces distributed across multiple floors.
A bicycle path runs directly through the building structure, connecting it physically with the surrounding urban landscape of Amsterdam Southeast.
