Edderkoppen Scene, Theatre company in central Oslo, Norway.
Edderkoppen Scene is a theatre in central Oslo at St Olavs Plass, located within the Scandic St Olavs Plass hotel building. The auditorium holds roughly 345 seats and hosts theatre performances, concerts, and various cultural events throughout the year.
The theatre was founded in 1942 at Keysers gate and moved to its present location at St Olavs Plass in 1945. A major explosion in 1999 led to complete rebuilding and modernization of the venue.
Following reconstruction in 2003, the venue maintains Norwegian theatrical traditions while adapting its space for contemporary entertainment needs and performances.
The venue is located directly within a hotel, making access and parking straightforward for visitors. Check the schedule in advance to learn about upcoming performances and available showtimes.
A 1999 Christmas Eve explosion led to complete reconstruction, transforming the original 600-seat theatre into a modern 345-seat performance space.
