Bøyabreen

Bøyabreen is a glacier arm in Fjærland with ice fields spanning between 600 and 1700 meters in elevation. From the nearby road, visitors can clearly see the steep ice formations and the wide valley that contains them.

The glacier formed during ice age periods and reveals through its size changes the effects of climate shifts across centuries. Its advances and retreats tell the story of the region's changing environment.
