Rødven Stave Church

The wooden structure stands near Rødvenfjord, featuring diagonal external supports and horizontal boarding that conceals its traditional stave construction methods.

The church received substantial modifications in the 17th century with the addition of a new chancel and sacristy, followed by restorations in the early 18th century.

The interior maintains original medieval elements, including a 13th-century crucifix and decorated ceiling panels that demonstrate Norwegian religious craftsmanship.

Visitors can access the church daily from June 22 to August 18 between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM, with admission prices of 90 NOK for adults.

The building follows the Møre architectural style, characterized by external support posts that reinforce the wooden framework of this medieval Norwegian structure.
