The architectural firm White designed this modern building, which opened its doors on March 14, 1990 with King Olav V presiding.

The top floors of the building include observation points that showcase Norwegian architectural innovation through an exterior glass elevator system.

The hotel section features 678 rooms, including 140 business accommodations and 20 suites, with a total capacity of 1,500 beds.

A covered footbridge connects the building directly to Oslo Spektrum arena since 1992, enabling direct access for conference attendees.
