Old Moster Church

Old Moster Church in Mosterhamn is a medieval stone building with a rectangular main room and a square choir. The building holds about 80 people and now serves mainly for special occasions rather than regular worship.

The stone building was constructed in the 12th century and replaced an earlier wooden church from the time of medieval Norwegian kings. It served as a polling place during the constitutional vote that established Norwegian independence in 1814.
