Middagsbukta, Natural harbor in Viken region, Norway
Middagsbukta is a sheltered inlet in the Indre Oslofjord area with rock formations along its shoreline. The harbor accommodates various types of boat moorings within its protected waters.
The name comes from Oslo sailors who regularly arrived at this location around noon during their journeys from the city. It served for centuries as a reliable stopping point for maritime travelers.
The bay transforms into a central gathering point during Sankt Hans Aften celebrations, when numerous boats congregate to participate in midsummer festivities.
The location provides good wind protection and suits different types of boat movements. It is advisable to familiarize yourself with local conditions before mooring in the inlet.
Wild strawberries grow near the upper levels of the bay area, while a documented mouse named Mia frequents the local geocaching spot.
