Sandtorgholmen, Heritage trading post in Harstad Municipality, Norway
The Sandtorgholmen complex stands on a peninsula along the Tjeldsundet Strait, featuring restored buildings and a harbor where ships dock regularly.
From the 14th century, this trading post received licenses for wine sales and developed into a central maritime hub with postal and telegraph services.
The former warehouse building, known as Brygga, represents the traditional Norwegian coastal architecture and now serves as a hotel with dining facilities.
Located 30 kilometers south of Harstad, the site offers 19 rooms for accommodation and includes facilities for conferences and outdoor activities.
The position along European route E10 provides visitors access to both Northern Lights viewing in winter and Midnight Sun experiences in summer.
