Trondheim Spektrum, arena in Trondheim, Norway
Trondheim Spektrum is a large venue center with multiple connected halls in the Norwegian city of Trondheim. The building provides over 33,000 square meters (355,000 square feet) of space with a main hall seating up to 12,000 visitors and 18 modern conference rooms of varying sizes for smaller gatherings.
The site first opened in 1963 as Nidarøhallen and originally served as a sports hall for local teams. Extensive renovation and expansion between 2015 and 2019 created today's building with its significantly larger capacity and modern facilities.
The name Spektrum reflects the range of events held here, from music to sports to business gatherings. Visitors experience a gathering place where people from different backgrounds come together to share moments.
The venue is easily reached by bus, train, or on foot from the city center and has parking available nearby. The bright, open spaces inside are easy to navigate and staff members are ready to help with seating or event information.
The building holds modern environmental certification demonstrating responsibility in resource use. Every two years it hosts Aqua Nor, one of the world's largest trade fairs for aquaculture technology, attracting visitors from over 70 countries.
