Lånkebanen
Lånkebanen is a motorsport racing track in Stjørdal roughly 1 kilometer long, with a mix of asphalt and gravel surfaces that challenge drivers in different ways. The venue includes additional facilities such as a practice training area, a hillclimb course, a motocross track, and a harness racing oval alongside the main circuit.
The track opened in 1987 as Norway's first asphalt racing circuit. It gained international recognition when it became a stop on the FIA European Rallycross Championship in 2011 and later joined the FIA World Rallycross Championship in 2014.
The track serves as a gathering place for motorsport enthusiasts across Norway, bringing together drivers, families, and fans who share a passion for rallycross. During race days, spectators camp along the track and cheer for their favorite drivers in an environment that feels like a motorsport celebration.
The track is located in Stjørdal and is accessible to visitors wanting to watch races. Plan to arrive early to secure a good viewing spot and take advantage of on-site amenities including food vendors and rest areas for families.
The facility serves as a driver training school and is used for safety courses where people practice handling cars on slippery surfaces like ice and snow. This combination of racing and education makes it unusual as a venue that serves both professional racers and everyday drivers.
