Mostranda

Mostranda is a beach in Færder Municipality featuring three distinct sandy sections along the Tønsbergfjorden shoreline. The sand formations extend from the shore into shallow, clear waters, creating natural areas for swimming and relaxation.

The beach received official status as a public bathing area in 1937 through a formal legal agreement. This protection paved the way for its development into a recreation destination over the following decades.

The site has served as a gathering place since the 1950s, where families and groups come to spend time by the water and enjoy shared activities. The camping facilities transformed it into a social hub where visitors connect over beach activities.

The beach offers diving boards, volleyball courts, and restrooms for visitors, with parking available near the camping area. Those arriving by car will find convenient access, and the various facilities support different activities for all ages.

The northern section contains Teinetangen, an island reachable by wading through shallow sandy waters. This spot draws visitors seeking fishing opportunities and quiet sunbathing areas that many overlook.
